Peter

Ilton

Alto

Peter started singing with St Saviour's Parish Church choir at the age of 7, which he is still a member of today.

Since then, he has sung with various outfits in Jersey, including St Luke's Church Choir, Voices, Amity, Cantabile (where he was Chairman for a time), and Vox Humana (which he was a founding member of). Additionally, he has been part of the Jersey Island Singers and Festival Choir performing major choral works by composers such as Bach, Handel, Verdi and Mozart.

At 14 Peter was singing tenor, but by the age of 16, he had decided it was far more fun confusing other singers by singing alto (and occasionally soprano). He still does this today, and throws in the odd bass line, which he has been accused of doing just to show off (which he categorically affirms).

Renaissance, Tudor and Baroque music are Peter's favourites, although he is happy to sing most choral work. Very occasionally, he gets caught enjoying singing more contemporary music as well (even though he may deny it!).
