Lucy
Howarth
Soprano
Lucy is a recent graduate of Durham University, where she studied French and Italian. Music has been a significant part of her life since childhood, starting as a chorister at St Helier Town Church and later joining the Jersey College for Girls Chamber Choir. In addition to her singing, Lucy is also a skilled pianist.
At university, she sang as a soprano in the Durham University Choral Society and performed with the Footnotes A Cappella group, covering a variety of genres from pop to close harmony jazz to traditional choral music. She has had the opportunity to perform in notable venues such as Durham Cathedral, The Glasshouse in Newcastle, Westminster Abbey, and at the Edinburgh Fringe.
During her year abroad in Siena and Aix-en-Provence, she also sang in several beautiful European churches. Lucy has even performed as a backing singer on Britain’s Got Talent. She is excited to bring her passion for music to Jersey’s Chamber Choir!
