Katie started singing with her church choir when she was seven years old. She continued to sing throughout school, alongside learning the flute and piano, and at university she was a member of the Choir of Merton College, Oxford.

On returning to Manchester after university she sang with the Choir of St Mary’s, Bowdon, participating in their annual summer cathedral tours, including to Wells, Winchester, Durham and Canterbury.

She moved to Jersey ten years ago and now sings with Cantabile, St Luke’s Church Choir and Jersey Chamber Choir.
